Marcia Jean Sullivan - obituary

We are so sad to share the news that our beloved sister, Marcia Jean Sullivan passed away in the hospital in Arizona due to natural causes with heart complications on February 4, 2020.  Due to the covid restrictions we are now able to move forward with her services

Our Marcia was born August 6, 1955 in Downey California.  Marcia whom we often fondly referred to as Marsh or Dasha was recently residing in Sun City, Arizona near our brother Brian. She had retired and was living life, as she drove around on her golf cart meeting new friends and joining in with everything from community meetings to learning line-dancing.  She was enjoying life!

Marcia grew up with the Sullivan clan in Ventura, California. Moving from La Mirada, Calif in 1966.  She attended Anacapa Jr. High and on to Buena High School becoming a Buena Bulldog along with her sisters Noreen and Vicki.  Marcia proceeded to move up to Northern California and eventually landed in Moraga, California for many years.

Marcia continuously throughout her life attended the Catholic church. Marcia with her giving heart, her loving spirit and her sense of humor volunteered at a variety of things as she gave of herself so freely.  Marcia was loving and loyal and this is emphasized with her friends she cherished over many, many years of long lasting friendships.

Marcia was the 5th child born to John and Margaret Sullivan, her sisters who have preceded her, Mary Sullivan, Helen Sullivan, Vicki Sullivan Mayer, and Rene Hays. She is survived by 6 remaining siblings, Kevin Sullivan, and wife Mariza, Judy Sullivan Osterhage, Chris Sullivan and wife Linda, Beth Sullivan Magee, and husband Jim, Brian Sullivan and wife Julie Harms and Katy Sullivan Hove and husband Mike.

Aunt Marcia was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Joseph and Amy Hays and Kelly Cook, Noel and Maura Sullivan, Samuel Sullivan Osterhage who has preceded her and Jesse Sullivan Osterhage, Nick Sullivan, who has recently passed and Justin and Megan Sullivan, D.J and Jake Olejnik, Luke, Sully and Maggie Magee, Cassie, Connor, and Collin Sullivan. Her great nieces and nephews whom she adored - Veronica Cook, Katharine Cook, Amber Cook, Cayden Rodriquez, and our new little ones Mick Hays, and Kennedy Sullivan.

Marcia has now been reunited with those family members who loved her – recently deceased nephew Nick Sullivan and those who have proceeded her -
